Dr Marie Bradley

Originally starting her career as a molecular biologist, Marie’s professional journey has included roles at the Foundation for Research’s, Science & Technology New Zealand, the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), Crown Research Institutes: Plant & Food Research and AgResearch.
Currently, Marie serves as the Director of Strategy and Communications at Bioeconomy Science Institute – AgResearch Group. Her governance roles include Better Border Biosecurity Collaboration Council, Board member of Overseer Ltd, BiotechNZ executive committee; past 3 years on Royal Society Te Apārangi Council and its Audit & Risk Committee; Chair of NZ ORCID Consortium Advisory Committee amongst others. She has strong connections with variety of industries, communities and broader science system.
Based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Wellington, Marie enjoys immersing herself in nature—whether that’s heading into the bush or taking to the water in a kayak whenever the opportunity arises.
