Rachel is Biosecurity Manager at New Zealand Apples and Pears Inc (NZAPI), which represents growers, packers and exporters throughout the pipfruit industry.

Having worked and studied within horticulture for more than 30 years, Rachel has a complex understanding of both the pipfruit sector and horticulture in general, which serves her well as a member of NZAPI’s executive team.

Rachel is passionate about the success of New Zealand’s horticultural industry and represents NZAPI in Government Industry Agreements (GIA) and on councils and working groups. She is also on Hawke’s Bay’s Horticulture Advisory Group, which engages and supports growers with various initiatives from wellbeing events through to technical assistance.
